Kanarra Falls is a true gem, nestled in the nearby town of Kanarraville, just a stone’s throw from our ranch. This 3.7-mile out-and-back trail, though relatively short, requires access tickets. The trailhead offers essential amenities, including restrooms and a boot washing station—an unusual feature born of necessity. Kanarra Falls takes you through a stream, often less than a foot deep, ensuring you’ll get wet and possibly a tad muddy. An important note: pets are not allowed, as the stream feeds the local watershed, and we must all play our part in preserving this natural wonder. The ladder you’ll encounter on the trail is a test of balance and fear of heights, so exercise caution. And remember, avoid this trail if rain is in the forecast to steer clear of potential flash floods in slot canyons.
